Hello! My name is Danielle. I’m so happy to have you on my blog. Welcome.
I’m from Connecticut, a small but beautiful state in the U.S.A. I was born and raised in a small town, and loved my life growing up with my family. I went to university at the University of Connecticut and finished my degree in Microbiology, with a minor in Spanish language.
I used to work in a laboratory as a microbiologist.I adored the work, and found it to be fascinating. I didn’t however enjoy the lack of flexibility and the constrained feeling of corporate monotony.
In 2015, I quit my first (and last) desk job, and moved to South America! Since then I do remote work, which gives me time to travel with my wonderful husband, and do volunteer work.
Some things to know about me:
- owner of a mass of (frizzy) curls
- wine enthusiast
- happily married
- lover of lazy mornings in cafés, bonding talks, and a good book
I hope you enjoy my ramblings and stories. Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think! I like to write about my stories, life in Peru, travel, food (of course), and learning Japanese.
Other fun facts about me. I am a passionate traveler. When I was single, I would spend all of my money on trips, and I regret nothing. Now, with my husband I have my best friend and favorite travel partner to visit the world together.
